Faume continues its expansion in the United Kingdom with Paul Smith

November 12, 2025

Paris, October 2nd, 2025 : Faume, the French scale-up pioneering integrated resale solutions for fashion brands, is accelerating its growth in the United Kingdom. After launching the resale programs of Victoria Beckham and Temperley London, the platform is now partnering with Paul Smith, the third British house to entrust Faume with its resale operations. To support this momentum, Faume is opening a London office and deploying a dedicated local team.

The UK: a strategic market for resale

The United Kingdom is currently one of Europe’s most advanced markets in terms of resale. According to OC&C Strategy Consultants, nearly one in four fashion transactions already involves second-hand items, and by 2029, this segment is expected to represent 10% of total fashion spending in the country. For premium and luxury brands, resale is no longer a passing trend but a true growth driver, combining loyalty, acquisition, and profitability. The UK second-hand apparel market is projected to reach USD 8.06 billion by 2032 (source: credenceresearch).

An expertise that attracts premium and luxury fashion brands

Founded in 2020, Faume supports over 45 premium fashion brands in launching and managing their own resale offers. Its turnkey solution integrates the entire value chain, collection, refurbishment, pricing, logistics, and resale and ensures brands benefit from:

-a smooth, premium customer experience comparable to buying new items

-full control over brand image, pricing, and distribution

-a sustainable and profitable model directly integrated into the brand’s ecosystem

Since its creation in 2020, the platform has enabled the resale of over 300,000 premium fashion pieces, 40% of which internationally, helping to avoid more than 4,200 tons of CO₂ emissions.

Aymeric Déchin, CEO of Faume, declares:

“The UK is the most dynamic resale market in Europe. With Paul Smith, following Victoria Beckham and Temperley London, we are reinforcing our local presence. British houses no longer see resale as a threat, but as a growth driver. Our mission: to give them back control over their resale and turn it into a source of value.”

An expansion supported by an €8M funding round

This acceleration in the UK builds on the €8 million fundraising completed in early 2025 with Amundi, Daphni, and Bpifrance Digital Venture. These resources enable Faume to strengthen its commercial and technical teams, open a London office, and develop new innovative tools, such as its Dynamic Pricing AI, helping brands compete more effectively with marketplaces.
