Xandres scales resale strategy with Faume across Europe

March 18, 2026

Belgian womenswear brand Xandres is accelerating its second-hand strategy through a partnership with resale platform Faume, marking a new step in the development of its Xandres Preloved program.

After being active in the second-hand market for two years, the brand is now turning resale into a fully structured business lever - one that extends product desirability, highlights the long-term quality of its garments and strengthens relationships with customers.

Founded in 1968, Xandres has built its identity around durability and craftsmanship. As the resale market grows, the brand has observed that a growing share of perceived value is now created on the secondary market. Yet items circulating on third-party platforms are not always presented or priced in line with the brand’s standards.

Xandres Preloved extends our vision of clothing: pieces designed to last, worn, passed on and rediscovered. With Faume, we are giving the program a new European dimension with an experience that meets our brand standards both online and in store.” said Clio Gyde, Sustainability Manager at Xandres.

With Xandres Preloved, the company aims to reclaim control over that market.

Following an initial in-house pilot, Xandres has partnered with Faume to scale the initiative. The programme is now expanding from Belgium to Germany and the Netherlands, in line with the active markets of its first-hand products.

The initiative combines an online resale platform with a take-back service allowing customers to return their garments for resale. Items can be submitted through a digital process including price estimation and shipping. Starting April 20, 2026, customers will also be able to bring pieces to 15 participating stores, where the take-back service will become part of the retail experience.

Items are then authenticated, refurbished and listed on the Xandres Preloved platform.

For Xandres, the program serves three strategic goals: attracting new consumers for whom resale is often a first entry point to brands, increasing customer loyalty through take-back moments that drive store traffic, and supporting sales of new collections by reinforcing brand desirability.

Xandres has already demonstrated its commitment to resale. Our role is to provide the infrastructure and operational expertise needed to scale the program across markets while maintaining a premium customer experience,” added Aymeric Déchin, CEO and co-founder of Faume.

Faume will operate the entire program, including take-back, valuation, refurbishment, logistics, pricing and resale.
